World of Warcraft Gets a PVP Mercenary Mode

Mercenary Mode will be introduced in an upcoming patch for World of Warcraft allowing players to enter the arena as the opposite faction.

Agents will reportedly appear in you base, allowing you to enter Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds disguised as the opposing faction. Even if your faction is experiencing a long wait time to enter the arena, you’ll still be able to play. WoW stated on the site blog that Blizzard’s intention “with Mercenary Mode is to allow players who want to participate in Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds the ability to do so without having to wait through long queues, while still maintaining the spirit of the core Alliance vs Horde fantasy.”

You race will be automatically changed into one that will match the opposite faction you’re in once you enter Ashran or the unrated Battleground. The same awards will be granted if you play as a mercenary, excluding the faction-specific achievements.

For all things World of Warcraft, keep up with cpgaming.gg and let us know you’ll be taking the other side once Mercenary Mode hits the patch.
