After six years in development, we might finally be getting a glimpse of CD Projekt Red’s most awaited RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 at this year’s E3.

According to the official E3 2018 exhibitor directory, Polish video game developer CD Projekt Red will be attending the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 with an unspecified RPG for XBox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows gaming PCs. Although listed as an unspecified RPG, the game, no doubt, is Cyberpunk 2077 considered that it is the only RPG CD Projekt Red has been working on.

It was just last March that CD Projekt Red opened a new studio in Wroclaw, Poland, to help in developing Cyberpunk 2077. The Wroclaw studio is made up of 18 veteran game developers that will be working with CD Projekt Red Warsaw and Cracow to bring the futuristic RPG to life.

CD Projekt Red has been giving out details about Cyberpunk 2077, describing the game to be even more “ambitious” than their previous RPG game, The Witcher 3. The game is set in an open-world dystopian future when the world has reached the technological singularity, diving people into social classes. The player must choose from eight different roles. Each given character is also customizable.

CyberPunk 2077 will introduce us to the fictional metropolis called Night City, located in future California. The game is said to feature non-English-speaking characters, and for players to be able to understand the language, they must buy translator implants. Several implants will also be introduced in the game to enhance the character’s abilities. One of these implants is the “Braindance,” a digital recording device that is streamed directly into the brain. This will allow the player’s character to experience the brain processes and muscle movements of another person. The studio also confirmed that the game will have different endings based on the player’s choices and agency.

Fans are expecting that the studio will finally show its gameplay and provide further details on E3. They might also give the game’s release date.

Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 will take place in Los Angeles from June 12 to 14. Until then, all we can do is wait for CD Projekt Red to release more details about the said game.
