German video game publishing company Deep Silver previously announced that the release of Metro Exodus will be on February 22, 2019. But changes were made, arriving at the decision that the upcoming post-apocalypse game should be launched a week early.
Metro Exodus, the 3rd game in the Metro series based on Dmitry Glukhovsky’s sci-fi novels, will now be released on February 15, 2019. It means that the game will no longer be launched on the same day as Bioware’s Anthem. However, upon taking that date, its direct competition will be Crackdown 3 and Far Cry New Dawn. For those who don’t know, Far Cry New Dawn was announced during the Game Awards early this month, and it features a post-apocalyptic setting in Montana — somehow similar to Metro Exodus.
In a tweet posted by the game’s official Twitter account, they also shared that Metro Exodus has already gone gold, which means discs were already produced in preparation for its release.

Metro Exodus is a first-person shooting video game developed by 4A Games, mixing a combination of survival horror and stealth elements. It is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland which was formerly known as the Russian Federation. The game challenges the player to survive despite the new hazards and fight against mutated creatures and malicious humans. The character is given a set of weapons which can be customized through a crafting system.
Another exciting feature of Metro Exodus is its mixture of sandbox environments and linear levels. It has a dynamic weather system, and its environments changes depending on the season and as the story progresses. It also has a day-and-night cycle, and that the game is set throughout one in-game year.
Metro Exodus will follow the events of Last Night and will introduce the character of 23-year-old Artyom who sets off in a journey with Spartan Rangers to the far east. It will be released for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs and gaming laptops, as well as XBox One and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles.
