Square Enix confirmed that the Nintendo Switch exclusive JRPG video game Octopath Traveler is coming to gaming PC. The critically-acclaimed JRPG will be made available on Steam and the Square Enix Store starting June 7.

The announcement was made on a now-deleted blog post on the Square Enix website that shows a list of the game’s features. These features include its gameplay, storyline, and details about the eight heroes in the game. Gematsu also confirmed that the blog post doesn’t show or suggest any PC-specific special features in the game.

For those who don’t know what the game is about, Octopath Traveler is a turn-based RPG video game that was first released on July 13, 2018, for Nintendo Switch alone. Within a month after its release, the game immediately sold over a million copies worldwide and has been included as one of the best-selling games on Switch.

The game is set in a land called Orsterra, where people believed that their world was created by thirteen deities before the twelve decided to seal the fallen god Galdera. The game features eight protagonists, each with a story and quest of their own.

These characters are:

  • Ophilia Clement – The Cleric
  • Cyrus Albright – The Scholar
  • Tressa Colzione – The Merchant
  • Olberic Eisenberg – The Knight
  • Primrose Azelhart – The Dancer
  • Alfyn Greengrass – The Apothecary
  • Therion – The Thief
  • H’aanit – The Hunter

After its PC release announcement, Octopath Traveler now joins the growing list of Square Enix JRPG on PC, including the Final Fantasy series and Chrono Trigger.
