No Man’s Sky Enables Cross-Play Across All Platforms

Hello Games have finally enabled No Man’s Sky crossplay feature across all of its available platforms. Alongside the crossplay feature, the studio also confirmed that the game is now part of the Xbox Game Pass program for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows 10 gaming PC.

The news came through a press release posted by Hello Games on their official website. Players will now be able to play No Man’s Sky through PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox, VR, and GoG by connecting online.

And as stated earlier, No Man’s Sky has also been added to Xbox Game Pass in time with the crossplay feature. This is to benefit everyone in the community from the influx of new players from the Xbox Game Pass.

The developers from Hello Games have been working with the crossplay function for six months. According to Tim Woodley, the studio’s head of publishing, the team has been quietly re-working with networking the backend of the game. This allows versions of the game onto one single multiplayer base.

The crossplay feature will enable players to connect with previously unavailable friends on other platforms. It will also allow console players to access and visit massive planetary bases built on high-end PC.

The update also brings general improvements to the game, including speech-to-text, improved lobbies, and fireteams. There will also be a set of tweaks to VR, multiplayer, and the game.
