After its unexpected leak, Ubisoft has finally revealed the details of their upcoming game Far Cry 6. They also announced that the game will be released on February 18, 2021. It will be launched for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia, and gaming PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.
After the game was leaked in the HongKong PlayStation Store listing, Ubisoft posted a game’s intro video in a Twitter post. The short video also gave us a cutscene showing Anton Castillo and his son Diego, who he is preparing to take over their totalitarian island state of Yara.
According to Ubisoft, the player takes on the role of Dani Rojas, who is a Yaran guerilla revolutionary. The character can be played either as a male or female.
In the HongKong PlayStation Store listing, the description said that the game’s plot takes place on the island called Yara. It will be the largest Far Cry playground to date and is said to be inspired by a Cuban setting.
Players will be able to employ makeshift weapons and vehicles. They can also hire a group of people called Amigos, which are described as new fangs for hire to burn Yara’s tyrannical regime to the ground.
There has been news too that the game’s PS5 version will arrive as a free upgrade. It means that players will only have to buy the game one time to play it across both generations.
Furthermore, according to the leaked listing, the game will have a two-multiplayer mode. The game will also offer preorder bonuses, including a state of the art Discos Lobos weapon and skin for Chorizo.
According to Ubisoft, more details will be released. Far Cry 6 is the third Ubisoft game to be leaked online after Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay and the image screenshots of Watch Dogs: Legion.
