It is confirmed that the rhythm video game, Harmonix’s Fuser, finally has a release date, which happens to be on November 10, 2020.
Fuser was first announced in February this year. According to Harmonix, the game features a new take on the rhythm gaming genre. In this game, instead of the players focusing on hitting the notes as they come down a moving track, they must keep the crowd excited by doing musical mashups.
The developers also revealed that the players will get their chance to try their hand at being a Virtual DJ when the game arrives on November 10. Fuser will be launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows gaming PC. It is not confirmed, though, if the game will be available to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.
As of now, Fuser is only available for preorder on Steam and Epic Games Store on PC. It is also available to preorder on Microsoft Xbox Store. However, players can’t preorder the PlayStation version or Nintendo Switch version at this time of writing.
Fuser is described by its developers as a rhythm video game that allows players to blend music together in fun and imaginative ways. The developers said that Fuser seeks more craftsmanship from the players, making it different from Harmonix’s other music rhythm games.
In the game, the player takes the role of a DJ at a large concert. It features a virtual DJ table with four record players and a list of records. Players are free to add and mix different sounds and tracks all together to keep the crowd excited.
The game introduces a single-player campaign that features multiple sets across various venues. The player must make mixes at each set by adding new tracks in time to the beat to score more points.
