The second part of the Genshin Impact 2.4 Update will start on January 25, 2022. This update will bring the re-run of Zhongli and Ganyu’s banners. Zhongli’s banner titled ”Gentry of Hermitage” and Ganyu’s ”Adrift in the Harbor” will be released on January 25, following Shenhe and Xiao’s banner. Although both characters are from Liyue, the two have different gameplays.
Zhongli is a polearm-user with the power of Geo. He is the current vessel of the Geo Archon, Morax, or Rex Lapis. On the other hand, Ganyu is a bow-user with a Cryo vision. She is a quarter-adepti that works together with the people of Liyue to grow their nation.
If you’re unsure whether to pull for Zhongli or Ganyu, below are details about their skills and gameplay that might help you decide.
Zhongli
Zhongli is the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis. After faking his death, he worked on the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor as a consultant. He uses a polearm to deal immense damage to his enemies. As a Geo user, he can deal with a large AoE Geo Damage. He can also create a tough shield that can withstand most enemy attacks. Zhongli’s Elemental Burst can also petrify enemies. One of his passive can also drain Geo Element from his opponents.
Zhongli is best paired with other Geo characters such as Albedo, Ningguang, or Arataki Itto. You can further enhance his damage by adding Mona and Bennett to your team. The only downsides to Zhongli’s character gameplay are his low normal attack damage and low elemental particle generation.
Ganyu
Ganyu is a quarter-qilin Adeptus that works as the general secretary of the Liyue Qixing. She uses a bow and her Cryo vision to defeat her opponents. One of the best things about Ganyu is she has a high-base Critical Damage which makes her one of the best DPS. She also has multiple AoE skills and can deal massive damage even at Constellation 0.
You can also use Ganyu as your party’s main DPS (damage per second) dealer or Cryo Damage Bonus Support. This makes her a great addition to any party with a Pyro damage dealer like Diluc or a Cryo damage dealer like Eula.
The downside of Ganyu is that she has a low base HP, and her charge levels take time to build without her Constellation 6 unlock.
