Squad-based battle royale title Apex Legends delivers lots of action with a uniquely Respawn flavor. Players select from one of eight Legends – each with their own unique abilities and playstyles – and the last team standing wins. Combatants can choose from unique characters like Bloodhound, the tracker who can see recent enemy activity on the map, or Lifeline, a battlefield medic who can shield teammates and bring them back from the brink of death. Balanced squads and teamwork are critical, as each Legend is easy to pick up and learn, but challenging to master.
Apex Legends showcases several new genre-leading innovations, starting before players even start the match. Once players are ready to begin, they’ll choose their drop point with the Jumpmaster system, giving each squad full control over exactly where they drop in. Is it smarter to head straight for the most valuable loot and risk early conflict with other teams, or make for one of the outlying areas to plot an attack and let other squads pick each other off?
EA and Respawn Entertainment have revealed the all-new Unshackled Event, which is coming soon to Apex Legends! Running April 19 through May 3, the limited-time event will feature the return of Flashpoint game mode, new cosmetics and more.
Flashpoint Returns!
Fight it out on Olympus as you never have before in the return of the popular limited-time mode, Flashpoint! Don’t have time to bleed? No worries! In Flashpoint, healing items are removed from the loot pool and replaced by “Flashpoint Zones”. These zones are large areas that heal all Legends inside them. If you’re looking to restore your health, you might have to fight for it!

Utilize your Legends’ full power and play your way through two unique weekly challenge tracks to unlock event-themed cosmetics.
April 19th to April 26th

Unshackled Event Packs

Unshackled Event Packs are available for a limited time during the Unshackled Event, but the items will be available in the standard Apex Pack pool of items after the event ends.
Unshackled Event Packs guarantee you one non-duplicate Unshackled Event item.
The new event will introduce 40 new cosmetic items around the Unshackled theme.
Unshackled items can be crafted with crafting metals. After two seasons, crafting metal costs of Unshackled Items may be reduced.

Thematic Tab Update
In an effort to show off new content better and make menus easier to read and navigate, we’ve updated the Thematic Event Tab with Unshackled..
All of these innovations don’t stop there as Apex Legends also delivers Respawn Beacons, one-time use locations where defeated teammates can be revived, a contextual Ping communication system that allows players to call out enemies, weapons, locations and more with the push of a button, and an intelligent inventory system which automatically attaches gear and equipment to the appropriate weapons once players pick them up. All together it creates a battle royale experience unlike any other, complete with Respawn’s commitment to top-notch quality and fun.
