There is a new king in town. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, the most powerful GeForce GPU ever made is almost available in our gaming PCs.

The RTX 5090 arrives later this month in store shelves and, of course, in our gaming PCs.

Gamers and creators, get ready for game changing capabilities. Tackle the most demanding creative workloads and boost gameplay with unprecedented AI horsepower.

Experience your favorite games with full ray tracing and the lowest latency.

Let’s take a look at what’s new with NVIDIA’s new crown jewel.

GeForce RTX 5090 – The Specs

The RTX 5090 is NVIDIA’s newest top end graphics card. It is equipped with the new Blackwell NVIDIA architecture that enables new levels of performance and AI based innovations.

The GPU features 3352 AI TOPS, 5th Gen Tensor cores, 4th Gen Ray racing cores, 3x 9th Gen NVIDIA Encoder (NVENC) & 2x 6th Gen Decoder (NVDEC), and a hefty 32GB of speedy GDDR7 memory with a bandwidth of 1792 GB/sec.

All of this raw power is complimented by a whole slate of gameplay enhancing DLSS features. Experience next generation DLSS 4 Super Resolution, DLAA, Ray Reconstruction, Frame Generation, and Multi Frame Generation.

The performance boosting features of DLSS are complimented by the latency reducing features of NVIDA Reflex, including Reflex 2, Low Latency Mode, and Frame Warp.

This monster of graphics card uses a total graphics Power of 575 watts. To power this beast you will need your system to be equipped with a 1000 Watt or higher power supply.

GeForce RTX 5090 – The Performance

Take a look at the performance chart done by NVIDIA below. As you can see, the RTX 5090 nearly doubles the framerates of the previous generation RTX 4090, across a variety of demanding games at 4K, Max graphics settings. Talk about power.

Besides having a tremendous amount of raw performance, the RTX 5090, along with the rest of the RTX 50 Series cards, can take advantage of the performance enhancing benefits of NVIDIA DLSS 4.

RTX 5090 Features: DLSS 4

DLSS is NVIDIA’s revolutionary suite of neural rendering technologies that makes use of AI to boost your performance. Through DLSS you can boost your FPS, reduce latency to make games more responsive, and improve image quality.

The latest big innovation that arrives with DLSS 4 is Multi Frame Generation and Enhanced Reconstruction and Super Resolution, all powered by fifth generation Tensor Cores.

DLSS 4: Multi Frame Generation

DLSS Multi Frame Generation boosts FPS by using AI to generate up to three frames per rendered frame. This complements performance boosting enhancements already seen from DLSS Frame Generation, which uses a similar technique to use AI to generate frames. Game’s are kept responsive thanks to NVIDIA Reflex.

DLSS 4: Ray Reconstruction

Ray tracing is performance intensive. Thanks to DLSS advancements, the power of AI can be used to reduce these performance impacts and generate additional pixels for intensive ray tracing.

DLSS 4: Super Resolution

AI is used to output faster frame rates from a lower resolution input that is then upscaled to your desired resolution. The result is an image that looks near indistinguishable to native resolution but that runs at a much faster frame rate.

DLSS 4: DLAA

DLAA uses the same Super Resolution technology used in DLSS to provide a more powerful anti-aliasing solution that results in a more realistic image at native resolution.

When Will The RTX 5090 be available?
