Oh boy, new hunts are here. The latest game in the long running Monster Hunter series is now available: Monster Hunter Wilds.
Explore a wild new frontier and take on a variety of new hunts in dynamic ever changing environments
Monster Hunter Wilds has been getting great reviews, with universal acclaim on Metacritic. Not only that, but the game is an incredible success, hitting a peak player count on Steam of 1.3 million concurrent players. Given the popularity and quality of the game, there has never been a better time to jump in to Monster Hunter; whether you are a series veteran or someone looking to get their hunt on for the first time.
Monster Hunter Wilds is a visually impressive game. Despite the quality of the game and it’s popularity, it unfortunately does not have the best PC performance at launch. As Digital Foundry points out, the game has some disappointing optimization issues that will need to be addressed with upcoming patches. Given that the game has had such a successful launch, Capcom will most likely be eager to get these issues addressed as soon as possible. At the moment, higher end GPUs with ample amount of VRAM are needed to get the smoothest and most stutter free experience, so we will be suggesting some systems that we think will offer the best possible performance for the game in it’s current state. Using features like frame generation and DLSS or FSR are also necessary to reach the smoothest possible performance
