Bloober Team has come back this August with the sequel to their famous first-person psychedelic horror game, “Layers of Fear”. But this time, we’re going to deal with what or rather who was left behind in the first story.
Layers of Fear: Inheritance will tell the story of the painter’s daughter as she comes back to her childhood home to face her past and fear. Inside the mansion, she’ll once again relive the memories of the past and witness the full scope of the tragedy that destroyed her family. And ultimately decide whether she should forgive her father, or resent all that has happened in the past.
The game allows the player to take control of the daughter and lead her through what’s left of the mansion. Inside the mansion, she’ll have to face the madness left behind by her father and discover the remaining secrets hiding in its corridors. Cope with the memories of her past and find out the future that awaits for her. Uncover the visions, horrors, and fear that entwines her story to his father.
Layers of Fear: Inheritance, like its prequel, features a complete narrative experience that allows you to explore the painter’s house from his daughter’s experience. The game will offer multiple endings which depend on your choices.
To top it up, according to GameRanx.com, the game developer’s Blooper Team is still keeping the VR option alive for this game. The team’s PR Manager Rafal Basak revealed the details, saying that many people are asking for it. Although Basak mentioned the obstacles they need to tackle, the team are constantly researching the technology to find ways to improve the performance of the game in virtual reality. But for now, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope that Blooper will eventually release a VR-version of this psychedelic horror game.
Layers of Fear: Inheritance is available on Steam for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux gaming computers. The game will be released on August 3, 2016.
