Integrating these AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors ensures that we can continue to deliver best in class gaming performance at a great price to our customers. This latest lineup builds upon the heritage of Ryzen processors and we are excited to have these available in our systems for our customers.
To start, two of the 9000 series processor will be available in our desktops today August 8th. We kick things off with the Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X. Then just a short week later (or an agonizingly long week later if you are really anticipating them) the big bois arrive. On August 15th the Ryzen 9 9900X and Ryzen 9 9950X arrive in our systems.
So there are your release dates, mark your calendars accordingly.
What’s new with these latest AMD chips? AMD tout these processors as the “world’s most advanced and powerful option for enthusiasts”. As we have come to expect from AMD’s stellar Ryzen processors, these CPUs offer some incredible performance at great price points. Let’s go through the specs of the current lineup of 9000 series processors.
Let’s begin with the two processors that available for purchase right now, the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and AMD Ryzen 7 9700X. This Ryzen 5 features 6 cores / 12 threads and base/boost clock speeds of 3.9 Ghz and 5.4 Ghz, respectively. Top that off with 32 MB of L3 cache and a default TDP of just 65W. Meanwhile the Ryzen 7 features 8 cores / 16 threads and base/boost clock speeds of 3.8 Ghz and 5.5 Ghz, respectively. This one has 32 MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 65W as well. You may be wondering what the higher-end Ryzen 9000 series chips are looking like. Here is a look at the specs of those, and remember, these ones will be available in our desktops beginning August 15th.
The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X. This 9900X features 12 cores / 24 threads and base/boost clock speeds of 4.4 Ghz and 5.6 Ghz, respectively. Top that off with 64 MB of L3 cache and a default TDP of 120W. Rounding of the lineup at the top end, the 9950X features 16 cores / 32 threads and base/boost clock speeds of 4.3 Ghz and 5.7 Ghz, respectively.
