Panache Digital Games, together with Private Division, have finally announced the PC date release for their upcoming game, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is set to launch on gaming PC through Epic Games Store this August 27, and later on PlayStation and Xbox One in mid-December. In the same announcement, Panache Digital Games also revealed the official key art for the game and a second behind-the-scenes video. The video featured the game’s creative director Patrice Desilets, who talked about the game’s mechanics and concepts.
According to Desilets, Ancestors is about exploring your environment and expanding your clan. That means your character’s offspring can eventually evolve into a new species. It revolves around the clan, your family, and the lineage that needs to go through time so that one species can evolve into another.
Another thing about the game is that you are free to play as anyone you want. You can play as the baby or lead the clan by taking the role of the elder. As the player, you’re also free to control one character inside the tribe. But remember that the most important thing about this game is your clan’s survival.

In regards to interacting with outside primates, players can gain their trust by either feeding them or curing their ailments. Whichever comes first, as long as they will be able to recruit them to the clan.
The game provides you with a vast jungle environment to start with. And although it may start out as a secure environment, fear can quickly play a significant role in the game as players try to explore and expand to new areas.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person survival video game developed by Panache Digital Games, and published by Private Division. It lets embark on an incredible odyssey of human evolution, which begins 10 million years ago.
