Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed: Origins is getting a new game mode which they call “New Game Plus or New Game +.” It was revealed on a post in Reddit, where community manager Dominik Voigt a.k.a. domvgt responded to a post that praised Origins’ latest DLC The Hidden Ones.

“New Game + is coming. We’ll have more information to share soon,” Dominik Voigt responded.

The mode has been heavily requested by fans since the game was released. And as expected from Ubisoft, it looks like they were listening and will soon deliver the game mode. However, little is known about the new game mode. Although in some games, a new game plus mode typically allows the player to replay the campaign with some modifiers active such as increased difficulty for example.

In a previous post, Ubisoft has stated that they were “investigating the possibility” of applying the New Game Plus Mode for Origins, but nothing has been confirmed until now. The news came in close with Origins first expansion pack, The Hidden Ones.

The Hidden Ones focuses on the expansion of The Brotherhood as they are set against a Roman force at the Sinai. The story takes place our years after the events of the main story, so players should expect to see spoilers. The game starts with Bayek being called to the Sinai Peninsula to investigate a clash between a rebel faction and the occupying Roman forces. The said mission will take you deeper into the story of the Brotherhood’s formation and how Assassin’s Creed came to be.

Another added content pack is also coming to the game this February 20 called “The Discovery Tour.” This mode turns off the combat and story quests and allows the player to freely explore the map and learn about the game’s version of Egypt and its history.

Finally, the next DLC, The Curse of the Pharaohs, will release on March 6. This expansion, on the other hand, adds new outfits, gear, and weapons, and bumps the level cap again to 55. It also features an entirely new storyline set in Thebes and centers around Egyptian mythology, letting you face mythical beings and long-dead pharaohs.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins is the latest installment in the AC series. It was released last October 27 and is compatible with Microsoft gaming computers, PlayStation 4 and XBox One gaming consoles. For more information, you can check out its official website at www.assassinscreed.ubisoft.com.
