Ubisoft has finally revealed the scheduled release date for their upcoming Assassin’s Creed game, Valhalla. The game will be released on November 17, 2020, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and gaming PC. And since the game was also announced for next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, so these consoles may arrive before the game’s release.
During the Ubisoft’s Forward Event, gameplay footage was shown, which gives players a more in-depth look at Valhalla. The video shows work-in-progress footage of female Eivor raiding down the English rivers, using a warhorn to set her crew on English village defenses.
As seen in the footage, crews will be able to assist the player on all raids, which includes the use of siege weapons. They will so be able to carry the loot.
According to developers, the game will also feature more enemy types than any of the previous Assassin’s Creed games. There will be enemies in the game that will also work in tandem. Enemies will also be able to use objects around their environment to attack the player and their crew.
The video footage also gives us a look at Valhalla’s settlement system. This includes the Alliance Map that will show the player the alliances he made across Britain.
Ubisoft showed a weapon overview and stealth overview as well. The overview shows players how they can use dual wielding across any weapon types, while the stealth overview teaches players how to use disguises.
Two video leaks circulated the internet showing Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla gameplay before the footage was shown. The video is an overall 30-minute chunk that featured the game’s siege warfare, and the boss fight against a mystical figure called Cordelia.
Valhalla is the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series. It is set during the Viking era and recounts an alternative history to the Viking invasion of Britain. In-game, the player takes Eizo’s role, a Viking raider who becomes involved in the conflict between the Templar Order and the Brotherhood of Assassins.
