Street Fighter developers released a video on Youtube July 7th revealing a new stage for the little-known about upcoming Street Fighter game.
In a video featuring producer Yoshinori Ono, it was revealed that there would be a Brazilian stage in the upcoming Street FIghter 5 game. “But Ono,” you might be asking. “Why would you have a Brazilian stage without any confirmed Brazilian street fighters?”
Ono asks us to tune in to the Brazil Game Show which will air October 8-12 where it’s hinted that we will receive more information about the mysterious Brazilian fighter. Although Ono did tease us by wearing a Blanka outfit, it’s important to keep in mind that there are more Brazilian fighters featured in the game as well.
Aside from everybody’s favorite green monstrosity, Sean Matsuda would not pose as an unlikely candidate as the basketball lover hasn’t made an appearance since Street Fighter 3. Also skipping out on the most recent installment of the game is Senjutsu artist, Oro, who previously lived in Brazil after migrating over from Japan.
For now we only have six confirmed fighters which are just familiar faces all across the cast, which can be found on the Street Fighter Wikia Page. If Capcom’s nice enough, perhaps they’ll give the fans all three fighters for this upcoming game. As I am a firm believer that anything is possible, we’ll wait in anticipation for upcoming news.
