Crytek Delays Crysis Remastered

Crytek has announced the delayed release of Crysis Remastered after receiving mixed reactions to its released footage. It will be postponed for a few weeks as Crytek works to get the game up to the gaming PC and console-breaking standard players have come to expect for Crysis games.

The developers explained in a tweet that they have seen both the good and bad reactions from the leaked footage of Crysis Remastered. According to Crytek, they want to make a few more improvements before its release.

The game’s trailer was supposed to be shown on July 1, but Microsoft Store has leaked it early and revealed its launch date of July 23, 2020.

In its official tweet, Crytek explained that Crysis Remastered will be coming this year as Crysis IP will also debut on the Nintendo Switch.

The developers also noted that the fans deserve an undeniably high-quality game and that they are committed to doing that. To ensure that they will deliver, they confirmed their need to delay the launch date on all platforms and trailer premiere by a few weeks. But Crysis also confirmed that pre-orders for Nintendo Switch will stay open, but pre-orders for all platforms will be delayed as well.

According to Crysis, the features fans are looking for are already set, but they still want to take some time to polish the game. They admitted that they are still working on several things in-game.

The extra time until the game’s release will allow them to further improve Crysis Remastered and deliver it exactly how fans expect it to be. Furthermore, Crytek said that they hope fans will understand and wait for the game as they make a few more improvements. Crytek also mentioned that they will update fans about the progress of the game.

Crysis Remastered is the updated version of the game’s original version that was released in 2007. The game will be released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
