The Witcher developer, CD Projekt Red, has confirmed that its upcoming sci-fi action RPG video game, Cyberpunk 2077, is in its final development stages, as the developers described their progress as the final stretch. And it also appears that they are confident that there will be no further significant delays for its release.
In a company video recapping the first half of their fiscal year, CD Projekt Red CFO Piotr Nielubowicz stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will have already been revealed when they make the next video. This only means that the game will no longer be further delayed. And the company may stick to its window release date of November 2020. Keeping in mind that the next video will be released at the end of December.
As of the moment, Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and gaming PC on November 19, 2020.
Although it may be possible that the game can still be delayed for a few weeks, fans can expect that Cyberpunk 2077 will be launched before 2020 ends. The game is also scheduled to be released on Google Stadia before this year ends. CD Projekt Red also confirmed their plans to release the game on next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in 2021.
CD Projekt Red is a video game adapted from the Cyberpunk franchise. The game’s plotline takes place in the open-world futuristic dystopian place called Night City, consisting of six distinct regions. Players take on the role of a mercenary named V, which can be customized. As the game goes on, players can acquire skills in hacking and machinery and a range of weapons to complete their missions.
Cyberpunk 2077 was first introduced in 2012, and from then has become one of the most anticipated games of 2020.
