Bethesda has announced a new standalone DLC for Dishonored 2 at the E3 press conference called Death of the Outsider. It will star Billie Lurk, Daud’s second-in-command and act as his companion during the events of The Knife of Dunwall. She reappeared in Dishonored 2 as Maegan Foster in Dishonored 2, who served as Anton Sokolov’s companion.
According to Bethesda, the game is set a couple of months after Dishonored 2. Billie Lurk was first introduced during the events of the Knife of Dunwall, acting as Daud’s second-in-command. Her character then made a return in Dishonored 2 as Maegan Foster, the one-armed captain of Dreadful Wale.
The Death of the Outsider is set a couple of months after the end of Dishonored 2 when Billie Lurk returns to Karnaca to reunite with the legendary assassin Daud to pull off the greatest assassination ever conceived. Together, they must kill the Outsider, a god-like figure which causes some of the Empire’s most dishonorable moments.
The player must venture deep into the grimiest corners of Karnaca to uncover the truth behind the Outsider and his origins. To do this, you will have to face oppositions, defeat ancient powers, and make the most difficult decisions that can change the world around you.
Bethesda confirmed that the story will delve more into the Outsider’s past and will reveal the reason for his existence. Billie will have new powers and abilities for infiltration.
The game will also introduce a new feature called Contracts, a feature one can use during the mission. This allows Billie to find and eliminate optional targets.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is confirmed for release on September 15, 2017. It will be available for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs and laptops, as well as XBox One, and PS4.
