Forget the hate for now, because today we’re not going to point the differences and debate which one of these two popular MOBA games is the best. Instead, we’re going to name some similarities between the game specifically with its heroes and champions.

If you play both games, it’s not hard to miss the fact that there are champions of League of Legends that look like some heroes from DotA 2 or vice versa. Here are our favorite look-a-likes:

Naga Siren and Nami

Naga and Nami are both sirens, bringing their ability to manipulate water and call tide in the battlefield. Both can play as a support and has crowd control ultimates that can quickly turn the tides of the battle. Naga Siren has her “Song of the Siren” that puts all her opponents in a magical stasis where they cannot act or cannot be attacked. While Nami has her “Tidal Wave” where she summons a wave that knocks enemies, slow them, and deal magic damage.

Winter Wyvern and Anivia

Winter Wyvern and Anivia are both mythical flying creatures that have an affinity to ice and can control frost. Anivia also has a skill that resembles Winter Wyvern skill, it’s her “Flash Frost” where Anivia launches a massive chunk of ice towards her target, dealing damage upon impact. Winter Wyvern, on the other hand, has a skill called “Splinter Blast” where she launches a ball of brittle ice toward an enemy.

Drow Ranger and Ashe

From the frost bow and arrows, one cannot deny the uncanny resemblance of Drow Ranger/Traxex to Ashe. Both girls posed with long luscious silver locks with side swept wavy fringe, dark blue garments, and cape. They are also known for being attractive marksmen in their respective games that can be very lethal if their opponents left them unattended during the early game.

Gyrocopter and Corki

Gyrocopter is best known for dropping bombs on his enemies and eradicating them in one blow. Well, meet League of Legend’s Corki also known as the Daring Bombardier, a yordle scientist carrying his  Hextech Munitions and Phosphorus Bombs. Oh, and guess what, he also rides in a small helicopter that has a Missile Barrage similar to Gyro’s Homing Missile.

Ursa and Warwick

Ursa and Warwick

Ursa or Ulfsaar may be a bear while Warwick, a wolf, but try to look at their in-game models and see for yourself the resemblance between the two. They have also had skills that increase their attack speed, giving them an advantage over their opponents. Another thing is that these two characters can play as jungler in the game.

Medusa and Cassiopeia

Medusa and Cassiopeia are both inspired by the Greek mythological Gorgon who was cursed for her beauty and was turned into a monster. Medusa from DotA 2 didn’t follow this lore but possessed the same terrifying look with snakes in her head and a gaze that can turn her enemies to stone. Cassiopeia, on the other hand, shares a somehow similar story to the original Greek mythological character. But like Medusa, she also has an ultimate skill that stunned enemies.

Monkey King and Wukong

Monkey King may not yet be released, but League of Legend already has a character that possessed the same features as the main character Sun Wukong from Chinese Novel “Journey to the West.” Wukong also known as The Monkey King fights his enemies using his magical staff. He can also create clones of him that can deal physical damage.

DotA 2 and League of Legends are both MOBA games you can play on your Microsoft Windows gaming PCs or laptops.
