Valve’s International Dota Major Championships
Dota 2 Spring Major Qualifiers are just around the corner. Running from May 3rd to 6th, the main qualifiers will determine which remaining teams in each region will have the chance to play in the main event of Manila Major which will run from June 7th to 12th and will take place at Mall of Asia Arena.
During the regional qualifiers, teams from each group will battle it out to advance to the Regional Double-elimination Playoff Bracket. Each winner of the Playoff Bracket will join twelve directly invited teams in Manila, including Alliance, Complexity, Evil Geniuses, Fnatic, LGD Gaming, MVP, Natus Vincere, OG, Team Secret, Team Liquid, Wings, and VICI Gaming.

During the group stage, the top two teams will advance to the upper bracket of the main event while the two bottom teams from each group will go to the lower bracket. In the main event, teams will proceed into a double elimination bracket. The best of five will battle it out on the Grand Finals.
According to a post published on Steam, Valve wants to introduce a larger group of talented casters the chance to cast higher profiles and join established teams. Dota 2 is one of the most popular MOBA game that sponsors international tournaments for its players. It’s a free to play video game released for Windows, OS X, LINUX, and PC gaming console operating system such as Steam OS.
