What I love about Riot is that every time there is a champion rework, all its skins and splash arts are usually updated too. And speaking of champion rework, let’s take a look at Evelynn, the latest champion to be updated, and her visual overhaul.
Classic Evelynn
The classic skin brings in a more alluring and dark touch into Evelynn’s character. Her dark purple hair was changed to white with dark pink flames, her pale blue skin tone became pale lavender, her clothes looked like a part of her dark energy with two long spikes with sharp ends glowing in hot pink. Due to provocative characteristics of the splash artwork, it was made region specific for censorship reasons.
Shadow Evelynn
Shadow Evelynn has changed the most. Unlike the previous skin design that gave her a bondage-like suit with spikes, the skin now features a more assassin-like feature which will remind you of Dota’s Queen of Pain. It was said that her design was inspired by Kayn’s assassin form. It is also the only skin that has a unique recall animation right after its re-launch.
Tango Evelynn
Tango Evelynn is a skin theme she shares with Twisted Fate. During the relaunch development, her skin color was pale blue, and her hair was white. However, during the Public Beta Testing, her skin was changed to tan and her hair to blond to better match her splash art.
Safecracker Evelynn
Safecracker Evelynn is a skin theme she shares with Pickpocket Twitch. As seen in their splash art, the two are robbing a Piltover bank while a Police Force zeppelin watches them. Despite having two tails, the splash art only shows one of them. It was said that the skin was inspired by the infamous Catwoman from the DC Comics.
Masquerade Evelynn
Masquerade Evelynn is a legacy skin, which is said to be referencing the tabletop RPG “Vampire: The Masquerade” and a tribute to the annual festival known as the “Carnival of Venice.” In her splash art, it can be seen that she resembles Medusa, a superhero character from Marvel Comics who happens to be part of the Inhumans. In her second splash art, the magic circle beneath her is the same one seen from Vancouver Amumu.
