The game will roll out first on iOS phones. Starting on March 12, players can sign up at Fortnite official website for the iOS “Invite Event.” Emails will be sent out to the players soon which includes a link to download the game. Support for Android will then follow after a few months, though no exact date is announced.

According to the blog post by the development team, “On phones and tablets, Fortnite is the same 100-player game you know from PC, Mac, XBox One, and PlayStation 4.”

They also mentioned that the crossplay platform was made possible with their partnership with Sony. Fortnite Battle Royale mobile version will also support Cross Progression. Such features will allow players using mobile phones can squad up with their friends using consoles or PC and play together.

The fully featured mobile version of Fortnite was a smart move from Epic Games. According to them, they believe that this is the future of games, allowing the same game on all platforms.
