Genshin Impact has released its new update for gaming PC, PS4, Android, and iOS last November 11 and is called “A New Star Approaches.” This update will add a couple of new things to the game, including four new characters, a new series of quests, new items, the game’s first seasonal event, and a new Reputation system for the individual regions.
The four new characters in the game are:
- Childe
- Zhongli
- Xinyan
- Diona
Childe is a 5-star hydro archer that can switch between melee and ranged attack. Zhongli, on the other hand, is a 5-star geo polearm wielder with strong AoE attacks and high-defense. Then finally, Xinyan and Diona are 4-star characters that are both combat strategies and possess elemental combos.
As stated above, there will be new quests added in the game, including the grand finale of Liyue. Three full acts of quests will also be added in the main storyline, as well as few character-specific side quests.
For its seasonal event, Genshin Impact will feature a two-week event called Unreconciled Stars. It will add a series of new quests, co-op challenges and will offer rewards, including a 4-star character named Fischl. According to the event description, it calls on all players to fight back against a terrible catastrophe heading to Teyvat.
New items to be added in the game include a portable stove, a portable waypoint, treasure compass, and oculus resonance stones near the Anemoculi and Geoculi. The update will add a new item called Wind Catcher, which stores anemograna that will let players create on-demand wind currents to explore more.
Last but not least, a new Reputation System will be added. This system will give players a separate rating in each of the game’s cities. This rating is built upon completing activities in the surrounding areas. By building a reputation, the player can get rewards, including new items and some customization options.
Furthermore, the game’s developer Mihoyo, confirmed that Genshin Impact will be fully playable on PlayStation 5. The upgraded version will feature improved graphics and faster load times.
