There have been rumors circulating online about Sony’s plan to release Horizon Zero Dawn to gaming PC in the future.
Online gaming blog Kotaku has reported that three people working with Sony have known of the company’s plans of releasing the PS4 exclusive game from Guerilla Games to PC. However, no official announcement was released by Sony yet, and the sources have said that they were not allowed to divulge the information yet.
If what the sources said were true, Horizon Zero Dawn would be the first Sony exclusive game to come to PC that was developed by a first-party Sony Worldwide Studios. But it won’t be the first Sony exclusive game to be coming to PC, since Quantum Dreams games are on PC, and Death Stranding will also be released for PC this year.
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world action and adventure video game. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting where humans live in a primal but technologically-advanced world overrun by robotic dinosaurs. It is an original IP from Guerilla Games and was released way back in 2017 for PlayStation 4.
According to the sources, if released for gaming PC, Horizon Zero Dawn will be both available on Steam and the Epic Game Store. It also expected that the PC version will push the game’s limits beyond what it was capable of on the PlayStation 4.
