American video game developer, inXile Entertainment, reveals that they are currently working on two new RPGs. The news came via a tweet posted by the Studio Head Brian Fargo.
Fargo’s tweet was a response to a fan, asking if the studio has another development game since Wasteland 3 was released last August. Fargo said that they are working on two new wonderful RPGs. However, he also mentioned that it is too bad that these games take so long to make.
In a follow-up tweet, he then explained that the second of the two new RPGs that they are currently developing is still on its pre-production level. This means that the game has a long way to go.
Wasteland 3 was released last August 28 for gaming PC and consoles. It is a squad-based RPG that features turn-based combat gameplay from an isometric perspective. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Colorado, which has turned into a freezing wasteland. The players’ decisions in this game are crucial because they can impact the game’s world and story. Wasteland 3 also features a primary campaign where players can play cooperatively with one of his friends online.
Aside from Wasteland, the studio has been working hard on Frostpoint VR, currently in its Open Beta on Steam and Oculus Store. Fans also hope that some of inXile Entertainment’s future projects will be related to Microsoft’s Bethesda acquisition. Since inXile is owned by Microsoft and Brian Fargo used to work with Bethesda’s Fallout series. It may be possible that the two companies could work again on a new Fallout game.
inXile Entertainment has worked on a lot of games aside from the Wasteland series. Some of these games include Torment: Tides of Numenera, The Bard’s Tale, Hunted: The Demon Forge, Line Rider 2, The Mage’s Tale, and Super Stacker.
