Bandai Namco Jump Force has added a new anime character in their ever-growing roster of fighters. This time it’s no other than Izuku Midoriya a.k.a. Deku of the popular anime, Boku No Hero Academia.

Izuku or Deku is the main character of the said anime series. He was introduced as a character without a Quirk, a superhuman ability that is possessed by most of the characters in the series. Due to his innate heroism, his teacher All Might gave him his Quirk called “All for One,” which allows its host to stockpile power within his body. It is one of the most potent Quirks in existence and is also one of the few that can be transferred from one person to another.

According to the official post published by Bandai Namco on Twitter, Izuku Midoriya will be bringing his notable fighting move in the game, the Detroit Smash Super Move. We’re also hoping to see his Delaware Smash too.

In the game, Izuku/Deku will join the popular characters from Shonen Jump series like Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Naruto as revealed by Bandai at Microsoft E3 2018 Press Conference.

We’ve seen characters from the game’s trailers like Goku, Vegeta, and Frieza from Dragon Ball Z; Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Sabo, and Blackbeard from One Piece; Naruto and Sasuke from Naruto; Gon and Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter; Ichigo, Rukia, and Aizen from Bleach; Yusuke Urameshi and Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho.

Bandai also confirmed that we’re going to see other anime characters like Ryuk and Light Yagami from Death Note as non-playable characters (NPCs).

Aside from this Izuku’s announcement, Jump Force also received a new trailer that gave fans a glimpse of its storyline. It also showed how players will be able to create and customize their own fighter.

Jump Force is scheduled to be released on February 15, 2019, on Microsoft Windows gaming PC and laptops, as well as XBox One and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles.
