After several delays, Microsoft Studios finally reveals a release date for their upcoming action-adventure game Crackdown 3. Initially slated for a 2016 release, the game is now confirmed to be released on February 15, 2019, for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptops, and XBox One.
The latest game in the Crackdown series boasts its new multiplayer mode called Wrecking Zone. This game mode pits two teams of five players on a battlefield to fight against each other, while tasked to destroy buildings, top skyscrapers, and level environments.
Aside from Wrecking Zone, two new multiplayer maps will also be introduced in the game called Nova Station and Blackout Zone.

These announcements were made during Microsoft’s X018 fan event, wherein the studio showcases trailers of updates and new games to be released.
Crackdown 3 takes place ten years after the event of Crackdown 2, where an unknown terrorist attack shuts down the entire power of the world. This prompts the Agency to send their super-powered Agents to the city of New Providence, where the attack was traced. In this city, they must fight and bring down Terra Nova, the mysterious organization controlling the area.
The game is said to retain the core gameplay of its predecessors. Players will be able to choose a variety of weapons, and can also drive vehicles they found in-game. It will also include a new system called Gangs Bite Back.
