During the BlizzCon 2017 last month, Blizzard has announced a new map alongside their new support hero, Moira. The new Overwatch map is called Blizzard World, and just as the name suggests, it features a theme-park with attractions based on Blizzard games like Heroes of the Storm, Diablo, Hearthstone, StarCraft, and Warcraft.

According to Director Jeff Kaplan, Blizzard World is a hybrid map; a part-payload and part-assault map. Along with the announcement was a fun cinematic short film that showed Overwatch heroes; Tracer, Winston, Bastion, and Torbjörn, as they watched the trailer of the map itself, gushing over the attractions found in the Blizzard World.

The Blizzard World includes a place based on Azeroth from World of Warcraft, an arcade based on Heroes of the Storm, a Hearthstone Tavern, a Protoss base, and much more. And it looks like it will be a lot of fun for fans of Blizzard games.

As an assault/escort map, defenders will start in the Heroes of the Storm Arcade, while the attackers are set to spawn in the Hearthstone Tavern. The first payload will move from the Warcraft-themed attraction to the StarCraft themed areas. Once the payload is secure, it will then move on to the Diablo-themed area, with the endpoint being the Throne of the Skeleton King.

The map is scheduled to be released early next year. But for those who are excited to try it, Director Jeff Kaplan also said that it will be available in the Public Test Realm on gaming PCs very soon.

Additionally, Blizzard also announced that Starcraft II is now free-to-play and new characters are going to be released for Heroes of the Storm as well as character changes.
