Ninjas in Pyjamas, the Esports organization who rose to popularity through their CS:GO team, has now entered the Fortnite Esports Arena. Having recently signing a pro PUBG team, a Fortnite team seemed inevitable as well, as NIP has now signed a 4 man Fortnite roster: Dean “Cringe” Lawrence, Max “Goofy” Rosenlind, Patrik “Xited” Heiberg, and Anastasios “Yung” Timpanidis.

This new four man roster is unique in that it’s entirely multinational, with players from Denmark, Belgium, and even NIP’s homeland — Sweden. To add onto that, the roster actually consists of two individual duos rather than one full 4-man squad, as Cringe + Yung and Goofy + Xited had previously played in competitive events.

With NIP’s long history of success in other competitive games (including their 87-map win streak in CS:GO) and recent struggles (they haven’t won a CS:GO major in last couple of years), fans are definitely going to have high expectations for NIP’s newest expansion into competitive Fortnite.

Given just how much Fortnite has exploded in popularity, competition will be tough, with other major Esports organizations such as FaZe Clan, TSM, Cloud9, Fnatic and Virtus Pro all joining in on Fortnite hype. With so much talent in the mix, Fortnite Esports is looking up. Below is NIP’s official tweet, welcoming its new lineup.
