City of Industry, January 9 – CyberPowerPC has developed an impressive Oculus Ready Gaming System in partnership with AMD and Oculus Rift. Bundled with the Oculus Rift headset, the AMD system will retail at the impressive price of $499.

The newest frontier of gaming, virtual reality, has provided gamers with numerous hours of immersive and exciting gameplay. Entire worlds from the best franchises are brought to life as players become part of the experience rather than an outside observer. VR has come to the forefront of gaming recently, with more and more companies offering a virtual reality version along with a regular version of their games. However, VR gaming has been limited to only those people who are able to afford the high-end systems and expensive equipment to run VR, due to its high demand for good graphics and a strong processor.  With Oculus’ newest software technology, the Asynchronous Spacewarp, VR gaming will now be readily available to more people and lower-end systems.

Oculus Rift has been a leading member of the industry in Virtual Reality gaming as one of the first companies to develop a commercial virtual reality headset. The development of the Asynchronous Spacewarp technology, mentioned previously, helps reduce latency and dropped frames by tracking a user’s head movement while each frame is being rendered and projects the last rendered frame to the latest position of the user’s head. This results in a completed frame even if a new frame was not completely rendered in time. Oculus has chosen CyberPowerPC to work with in bringing more affordable VR ready PCs and their headsets to more of the gaming community. The system offered in the bundle has been extensively tested by both CyberPowerPC and Oculus to ensure that it is perfectly compatible with the Oculus Rift headset. This PC is among one of the first from CyberPowerPC that has been certified as Oculus Ready.

The system is powered by AMD and contains an AMD FX 4350 processor along with an AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card. The FX family of AMD processors are some of their highest performing chips and uses frequency multiplier to run faster. The RX 470 graphics card is also one of the best AMD has to offer and is on par with some of the newest generation of NVIDIA cards. Along with the processor and graphics card, the computer will also come with 8 GB of memory and a 1 TB hard drive to ensure that customers do not run out of space to store all their VR games.
