In this age of mobile devices, it’s normal for PC video games to be turned into mobile games to allow users to play it on their smartphones and tablets. However, did you know that there are popular mobile games that were later released for PC?

Fallout Shelter

Fallout Shelter is a spin-off management simulation video game of Bethesda’s Fallout Series. In this Fallout Shelter, the player takes the role of a Vault Overseer, building and managing their own fallout shelter.

Fallout Shelter was first released for iOS in June 2015 and was followed by a release for Android devices in August 2015. The game became popular due to its core gameplay and visual style, and it wasn’t long till Bethesda decided to release the game for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptop in July 2016.

Crashlands

Crashlands is an action and adventure RPG video game from Butterscotch Shenanigans. It was first released in January 2016 for App Store and Google Play, and later on Steam.

This game is a story-driven crafting ARPG that is set in an outlandish world of hidden magic and technology. You play as the Galactic trucker Flux Dabes whose latest shipments gets derailed by alien menace named Hewgodooko. Fight and tame alien beasts and craft resources to survive

Riptide GP Series

Riptide GP is the first console-quality water racing game for mobile which was released in 2013. It features super-realistic water physics, high-detail vehicles, gorgeous environments, and real-time reflections. The player uses supercharged hydro jets to take a wild ride through twisting canals and rivers, pulling off stunts and showing off their skills.

The game became so popular that in 2014, Vector Unit created Riptide GP 2 and Riptide GP: Renegade for Microsoft Windows, which also happens to be available for Android and iOS mobile devices.

Badland

Badland is a puzzle mobile video game from Frogmind Games that was released on iOS and Android platforms in 2013. This side-scrolling atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure platformer takes place in a gorgeous forest filled with mysterious and beautiful inhabitants. However, even though the woods appears to be something out of a fairytale, there’s something terribly wrong. The player controls of one of the forest dwellers to find out what’s going on while overcoming traps and obstacles on the way.

A Game of the Year Edition for Badland was released by Frog Games on Steam in May 2015 for MS Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

Galactic Keep

Galactic Keep is a sci-fi, tabletop-style RPG game exclusive on iOS mobile devices in November 2015. The game lets you investigate exquisite maps in its richly described world where you can roam freely. It is a game where you can choose your path in an open world full of hidden surprises.

Just this April 2017, Galactic Keep was released on Steam for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X devices.
