Today’s highly anticipated PUBG Squad Showdown is finally here! With so much hype around it, here’s everything you need to know about this tournament.
It’s co-hosted by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Twitch, featuring numerous popular streamers, pro players, and of course, DJ Joel “Deadmau5” Zimmerman. Some notable names include Shroud, DrDisRespect, Skadoodle, AnneMunition, Chocotaco, chad, Anthony_Kongphan, Ashek, Lil_Lexi, DizzyKitten, Tsm_Viss, Luzu, Tsm_Smak, GoldGlove, GiantWaffle, N0thing, Trick2g, and many more.
While the draw of watching this tournament on Twitch is for the action-packed gunfights, the PUBG Squad Showdown also gives viewers a chance to partake in huge giveaways. This is due to the fact that the tournament is part of Amazon’s Unboxing Prime Day Event in Los Angeles, which will feature a live performance of Deadmau5’s new music along with the highly entertaining PUBG action from some of the best streamers around.
These special giveaways give Twitch Prime members chances to earn PUBG loot, and during the stream, gain glimpses at upcoming exclusive in-game content. In fact, just about a week ago, an apparent “Deadmau5 Crate” was leaked online, which is speculated to be related to the new Twitch Prime content everyone is waiting for, but nothing’s for sure. But it’s likely that Deadmau5’s iconic helmet may soon be available to wear within PUBG.
