Resident Evil: Resistance Gets New Masterminds

Resident Evil: Resistance will be getting two new Masterminds and two new maps.

According to Capcom, the multiplayer component of the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake will feature Alex Wesker and Ozwell E. Spencer as playable Mastermind characters. Two new maps will also be introduced in the game, including an abandoned horror-themed park and a casino.

Alex Wesker was introduced as the main antagonist in Resident Evil 2: The Revelation. As a Mastermind in Resistance, she will be able to build more traps compared to the other Mastermind characters. She can also set up barriers for the Survivors like the plant-based bioweapon called Yateveo.

Ozwell Spencer, on the other hand, will not have any bioweapons. But instead, he can place down Disintegration Field that can massively damage the Survivors. These Disintegration Fields, however, won’t affect the creatures and will have an advantage on the cooldown rate compared to the bioweapons.

Resident Evil: Resistance is a non-canon multiplayer game that will come along with the remake of Resident Evil 3. It is a 4 versus 1 game, where gamers can either choose to play as the Survivors or the Mastermind.

Resident Evil 3 is scheduled to be launch on April 3, 2020, for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
