Resident Evil Village Will be Getting a New DLC

Resident Evil Village

During E3’s 2021 live stream, Capcom has announced that an additional DLC for Resident Evil Village is currently being developed. While Capcom didn’t provide any further details as to what the DLC will be about, they said that the new content is being made by popular demand. They added a teaser, though that more information will be released by the company in the future.

Resident Evil Eight Village is the eighth main installment in the Resident Evil Series. Its story focuses again on Ethan Winters, the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard. In this game, Ethan searches for his kidnapped daughter and finds himself in a strange village filled with mutant creatures.

Last month, Capcom also released a Trauma Pack for Resident Evil Village. This pack includes cosmetic upgrades, including a new weapon or memorabilia called Samurai Edge — an AW Model 01. It also consists of a screen filter and a special safe room background music titled

“Go Tell Aunt Rhody.” Other more items including the following:

  • Resident Evil 7 Found Footage Filter
  • Resident Evil 7 Tape Recorder Save Point
  • Mr. Everywhere Weapon Charm
  • The Tragedy of Ethan Winters Artwork
  • The Baker Incident Report

The Trauma Pack will also allow players to automatically unlock the “Village of Shadows” difficulty label. This mode usually is accessible after the player has completed certain gameplay conditions.

Aside from this new DLC, Capcom also announced that Resident Evil Re: Verse will be released next month for gaming pc, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. This is a game that lets players test their skills against other players in six-person deathmatch battles. Players take on the role of different playable characters in the Resident Evil series. Humans who are taken down will transform into powerful Bioweapons, and they are able to upgrade their Bioweapon transformation by obtaining Virus Capsules.

Playable characters include Jill Valentine, Leon Scott Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Ada Wong, Claire Redfield, and HUNK. Bioweapons include Jack Baker, Hunter Gamma, Fat Molded, Super Tyrant, and Nemesis T-Type.
