Respawn Entertainment seems to have a lot of plans for their battle-royale game, Apex Legends. And it looks like one of them is a new character.
The rumor started when Respawn Entertainment producer Tina Sanchez tweeted two images, showing the team working with effects. It came along with the caption: “working on Apex Legends stuff.” One of the photos shows her wearing a motion capture suit while holding a cane.
When asked if the post has any relation to Crypto, the supposed upcoming character that was teased before, Sanchez only replied with a closed mouth emoji.
Previous teasers have shown images of Crypto have shown the character wielding a sword. Fans capable of data mining found files with “DEATH_SWORD.” It could be that the cane used by Sanchez in the post is a prop to mimic Crypto’s sword. It is also worth noting that another person is wearing a motion suit.
Apex Legends Season 2 has already started, and it came with some drastic changes to its map. Season 2 also gave way to the introduction of Wattson, a woman with the ability to create defensive electric fences.
Crypto, on the other hand, has been teased since the debut of the season 2 trailer. The video shows a mysterious figure that triggers an explosion that leads to the map being invaded by local wildlife.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle-royale video game that you can download on your gaming PC or laptop.
