League of Legends developer Riot Games has announced the launch of their new tactical shooter game, Valorant.

Valorant will be available to play-for-free on June 2 after a month-long closed beta. Players can download it on the game’s official website.

Valorant is a 5v5 tactical shooter video game that introduces us to playable characters referred to as agents, each with their unique skills. Lucky fans who have managed to try the game on its closed beta have described it as a crossover between Counter-Strike: Global Offense and Overwatch with unique elements.

The developers also explained that the official launch would reset all the player accounts for anyone who played the closed beta. This means that all game records and progress will start from zero for all the players.

Along with its launch, the developers also revealed their plans for Valorant. This includes the new patch that will be released shortly after the official launch of the game. The latest patch is said to feature new content, agents, game mode, and maps.

Valorant is a free-to-play 5v5 character-based tactical FPS developed for Microsoft Windows gaming PC. The game was first announced in October 2019 under the code, Project A. It was then officially announced last March through a gameplay video that was released by Riot Games.
