Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends for gaming PC, has confirmed that they are currently developing a new fighting game.

The news came from the co-founder of the Evolution Championship Series, Cannon, who also happens to be a current employee of Riot Games after their acquisition of Radiant Entertainment.

Riot then confirmed Cannon’s statement by releasing their own, stating that they have experienced the profound impact of the game on players. With that, they wanted to bring the fighting game experience to more people.

Riot Games also said that the developers are working hard to develop and create a game truly worth of the vibrant fighting game community. However, they admit that they still have a long way to go before they are ready to share details about the game.

They also didn’t confirm whether the fighting game will be set in the League of Legends universe or not.

The development of the new fighting game is one of the results of Riot’s acquisition of Radiant Entertainment. For those of you who don’t remember, Riot decided to buy Radiant Entertainment in 2016.

Radiant Entertainment is the maker of Rising Thunder, the known 2.5D free-to-play giant robot fighting game, and the city building game, Stonehearth.
