It seems that Rockstar Games is currently working on a new Grand Theft Auto game for gaming PC. However, this latest entry in the series is still in its early stage of development, thus a long way from its release.
The new GTA game is also reported to have taken on a different scope due to the changes that happened at the Red Read and GTA studio.
The news came after there have been leaks that the Red Dead Redemption 2 company is working on a new entry in the GTA series. There were also talks that the company is considering ways of altering the game’s production to avoid similar crunch issues.
One of the proposed plans was to have the next GTA entry to have a moderate-sized release. After its launch, it would then be expanded with DLCs and regular updates over time. By doing so, this can help mitigate and prevent any crunch issues.
Given that the new GTA entry is still in its early development, the studio is still studying how to curb the crunch with the new game’s process. Thus, we can’t exactly tell if the developers may indeed follow the plan to release a moderate-sized game that can be expanded through DLCs.
As of the moment, Grand Theft Auto 6 has not been officially announced yet. For now, Rockstar Games has remained quiet about its plans and the issues surround Red Dead 2, along with their continued works.
