After two years of leaving fans with only teasers, Square Enix finally revealed their upcoming action game Marvel’s Avengers. And it is set to launch on May 15, 2020.
Marvel’s Avengers is an action-adventure video game that allows players to team up with three of their friends, and explore an ever-expanding universe. The game will also feature a customizable growing roster of heroes. Some of these heroes were already featured in the game’s reveal trailer, and they include:
- Iron Man
- Captain America
- Black Widow
- Thor
- Hulk
- Ant-Man/Hank Pym
Moreover, the developers confirmed that players will be able to customize each of these heroes to their own liking. Square Enix also stated that new heroes will be added for free, and there will be no loot boxes in the game.

Marvel’s Avengers will launch worldwide on gaming PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. It is currently being developed by Crystal Dynamics along with the help of Eidos Montreal.
For those who haven’t heard of these two talented studios, Crystal Dynamics has been known for creating the Tomb Raider reboot series. Eidos Montreal, on the other hand, has worked with the two latest Deus Ex games.
Aside from these two studios, industry professionals Shaun Escayg, the director of Uncharted, and Stephen Barry, producer of Dead Space, have joined the project.
Marvel’s Avengers was first teased under the name “The Avengers Project” way back in 2017.
