All gamers understand the value of a solid storyline and developed characters. These are the aspects of gaming that turn an average, good game into a masterpiece. When the community consider games with an exceptional plot and conflict, The Last of Us immediately comes to mind. As one of Sony’s best-sellers, fans across the globe anxiously await to see if this masterpiece will get a sequel. Now we know it is currently in the works.
Voice actor Nolan North, who played David, an antagonist in the 9th chapter of the first game, revealed during his panel at Metrocon, which happened earlier this month during June 11-14, that he knows they’re working on a sequel.
At 1:06:25 of the video above, capturing North’s panel, an audience member asked whether or not he had any more projects with Naughty Dogs in the works, to which North responded with a pleasant surprise.
“For now I know they’re doing Last of Us 2, but my character in Last of Us kind of met an untimely demise,” North stated.
Although this isn’t an official confirmation from Sony or Naughty Dogs and there’s no extra information to see if the same cast or characters will be returning, it leaves fans wondering whether or not the tale of Ellie and Joel is truly over. But until then, all we can do is hope that this next game is just as much a masterpiece as the first. For information and updates on The Last of Us, keep up with cpgaming.gg.
