It was in 2011 that indie game “To The Moon” has touched the hearts of many. It’s a moving tale about two doctors who traveled through a dying man’s memories to fulfill his last wish. Since then, a lot has changed in the independent game development. Still, fans continue to wish and hope that a sequel to the game will be developed by Freebird.
Fast forward six years later, lo and behold, Freebird Games gave the fans “Finding Paradise.” Like its predecessor, the game is a slow-paced adventure game where the player takes the roles of Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts. These doctors use a technomagical machine to delve into a dying man’s memories and fulfill his last wish.

The new game pretty much picks up right where the first game left off, and again players must fulfill their patient’s last wish by delving into their memories and tweaking a bit of it so he would think that he had done everything he wanted in life. To die with no regrets, satisfied with how he have lived his life.
“Finding Paradise” revolves around the life of the doctors’ new patient, Collin. Throughout the game, Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts will attempt to unravel his life which was split down in the middle, while trying to fulfill a wish which happens to be self-contradictory by nature. It makes you ask “what’s Colin’s deal and why does he want his memories altered?” The game is a compelling masterpiece which is filled with lots of puzzles, a nostalgic graphical style, and beautiful piano-driven soundtracks.
The game allows the player to explore the patient’s memories to find significant objects and collect energy from them. These would then be able to strengthen a particular memory or connect to a more distant one. From time to time, players can take a break from the machine and explore the patient’s house to find certain clues.
“Finding Paradise” was just released last December 14 for Microsoft Windows gaming PCs and gaming laptops, macOS devices, and Linux computers. It is created using the RPG Maker XP engine.
