Be honest; no one has ever played a video game without trying to incorporate some cheats. In the first place, cheat codes aren’t just created to make players more powerful; it is also a source of amusement. It makes players take more interest in the gameplay and figure out the other things they can do inside the video game world.

That’s why for today, we’re naming our favorite seven video game cheats:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Flying Cars

In GTA, having a car can make things much easier for you, but making it fly, well that’s a whole new level. By typing in CHITTYCHITTYBANGBANG on the keyboard of your gaming PC, you’ll be able to fly your car like a plane, allowing you to conveniently traverse the world of San Andreas without the pedestrians, the traffic, and the cops.

Assassin’s Creed III – Turkey Assassin

Who said turkeys can’t turn into assassins? Well, in Assassin’s Creed III, there is an easter egg that involves the famous Konami Code and a turkey. All you have to do is to go to Homestead Manor then go stealth on the outer walls. Whistle to call the turkey and then press the buttons Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, and A as fast as you can. It will give the turkey a hilarious assassin’s hood and will follow Connor for a while. Although the cheat may be pointless, it just shows that people in Ubisoft do have a great sense of humor.

Left 4 Dead 2 – Spawn Tank

Left 4 Dead is undeniably the best zombie PC game ever. It lets you play with your friends online and shoot at zombies to survive. And the best part is it also allows you to troll your friends and spawn special infected zombies in places you want. One of my favorites cheats codes is the z_spawn tank. It lets you summon a tank to where your cursor is pointing, and watch in full glory as your friends panic without letting them know that it is you who created it.

NBA Jam – Big Head

If you were a big fan of NBA Jam, then you definitely know about the big head cheat code. By holding Up, Down, and Turbo at the “Tonight’s Match-Up” screen, the Mammoth Head Mode on will be activated, giving the players on the screen comically oversized heads. Out of all the bizarre and useless chats in the game, this was certainly one of the most entertaining.

Doom – God Mode

God Mode is a famous cheat code used by many video games including Doom. By typing in iddqd, the code provides your character with invincibility as your health always remains at 100 percent. While the code takes away the real challenge of the game, there’s nothing more fun than to be able to shoot and pulverize any enemies that come your way.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II – Saber Realistic Combat

In the Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, developers have included a code where you can unleash the real potential of the iconic lightsabers. All you have to do is to pull down the console and type g_saberrealisticcombat. Once activated, you can now use the lightsaber to enjoy hours of dismembering your enemies to pieces.

Konami Games – The Konami Code

Last but not the least is the legendary Konami Code, which consists of pushing the buttons Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, and Start. The code could be activated on many Konami video games including in Contra where it gives you 30 lives instead of 3. The Konami code had become so famous, it became a part of pop culture that even non-Konami games used it. And for that reason, it is and will always be our favorite video game cheat.
