Video game company Ubisoft has announced that Skull & Bones’ release date will be moved further after March 2020. Aside from that, they also said that four other AAA games including Ghost Recon Breakpoint, are likely to be unveiled and released by the same time as well.
In the company’s recent 2018-2019 financial earnings report, it was revealed that Ubisoft’s aims to have a target of net bookings around USD 2.4 billion. This estimated amount is said to be led by the Ghost Recon Breakpoint release and the three other AAA games which titles are still unknown.
Skull & Bones’ release, on the other hand, was moved past Ubisoft’s 2019-2020 fiscal year. That means the pirate game may be released from April 1, 2019, to March 2020.
The Skulls & Bones team had also shared to fans that the game will not be featured at E3 2019. In a tweet posted by the team’s representative Karl Luhe, it stated that the team will not be able to attend the said event. It is because they are focusing on developing the game and making it something to watch out for.
As some of you may know, Skulls & Bones was initially scheduled to be released this year’s fall. Apparently, though, it needs a little more time to be able to live up the team’s expectation and feature a pirate game we have never seen before.
Skulls & Bones is currently being developed by Ubisoft Singapore for Microsoft Windows gaming PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game will revolve around naval warfare and piracy, where players will be able to play as pirate captains and sail the Indian Ocean.
