UK WoW Subscriptions Increase

If you’re a World of Warcraft fan, then you’re most likely on the edge of your seats anticipating the next expansion, Warlords of Draenor. Hopefully, you’re not one of the people who live in the UK who are gonna have the prices bumped up for them.

Starting November 13, monthly subscriptions will increase to £9.99 from £8.99 for a one month subscription, £28.17 from £25.17 for a three month subscription, and to £52.14 from £46.14 for a six month subscription.

“We regularly look at our pricing around the world and from time to time we make changes in light of local and regional market conditions,” the post reads. “As such, we want to give everyone a heads-up that we will shortly be adjusting the pound sterling subscription price of World of Warcraft.”

There are a few exceptions to the rule, however. Players who have auto-renewing subscriptions during November 13 will keep their subscription price at the same for two years. Additionally. those who signed-up for a recurring subscription for the expansion before November 13 will also be charged for the current price. It is important to keep in mind that these subscriptions are temporary. Blizzard reported that there will be a reminder to the player 2 months before the subscription price will increase.

Although the price increase is a little discouraging for UK fans, it’s important to note that World of Warcraft has been around for almost 10 a decade now and they only wish to provide better content for their players and fans. So although this slight increase may be a little annoying, it ultimately will be hurdled toward a better cause.
