The sequel to the open-world exploration game Subnautica is now out in the market as an early access title. Below Zero is now available on Steam and Epic Game Store for Microsoft Windows PCs and gaming laptops.

Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the game developer of Subnautica, first announced the news in a live stream. The game then became available on the game stores last January 31 along with its first trailer.

As described by the developers, Subnautica: Below Zero is not yet finished and is still full of bags. It still lacks polish, has some missing features and runs poorly compare to a complete game.

But similar to the first game, offering an early access title to players will allow the developers to improve the game according to what players prefer. This enhances the players gaming experience, as the game is specially created with the features they love the most.

As Unknown Worlds have put it, an early access title was released because they want to see feedback from the players. They want to make the game great by including players with the creation process.

Subnautica: Below Zero is set one year after the original game. It challenges the player to survive a disaster in a research station on an alien planet called 4546B.

Similar to the first game, players must look for supplies and resources, and craft tools to survive and make their way to the end of the story.

For now, Subnautica doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, but it is available as an early access title for only $19.99.
