Valheim’s New Update Adds New Features

Valheim Update

Open-world Viking RPG, Valheim is set to get new boss battles, biomes, and ship customizations with its updates for 2021. The game’s developer Iron Gate Studios also confirmed that these various updates will be released throughout 2021.

The developers also released a loose roadmap to provide players with details about the content coming to Valheim this year. The Valheim Roadmap 2021 includes the following:

  • Update 1 – Hearth and Home
  • Update 2 – Cult of the Wolf
  • Update 3 – Ships and the Sea
  • Update 4 – New Biome: Mistlands

At the end of the roadmap banner states the following features with a heading of “If Odin Wills it”:

  • Combat Improvements
  • Moon Phases
  • More Unique Locations
  • Multiplayer Interactions
  • Munin
  • Sandbox Mode
  • Svartalfar Brigands
  • Tar Pits
  • Vendor Inventory Expansion

The first update, called “Hearth and Home,” is described to feature house building aspects — more building pieces and stuff players can do around the house. There will be new recipes and food preparations, and new building materials to fortify the house. The second update, called “Cult of the Wolf,” will focus on combat features and with the players exploring Valheim’s various biomes. Although Iron Gate Studios didn’t confirm the details, fans believe that this update will include the icy Mountain biome found in the game.

Iron Gate Studios also revealed that each of the nine biomes in Valheim will include a boss battle when the game’s final version is released. They are also exploring adding mini-bosses if possible. Other possible inclusions that players should expect in the game are the Sandbox Mode and the Multiplayer Interactions, which the team is currently working on.

Besides exploring the game possibilities, five of Iron Gate Studios’ development teams are currently working on fixing the myriad of bugs that players have discovered in the early access game. These bugs are expected to be fixed soon before the game is released for gaming pc and consoles.
