Genshin Impact first introduced the character of Yae Miko during the Electro Archon Quest with the Raiden Shogun. Yae is the Guuji or Priest of the Grand Narukami Shrine. She also owns the Yae Publishing House in Inazuma.
Yae is an old friend of Archons, Morax, and Baal. She also happens to be acquainted with Liyue’s Qixing, Ganyu.
Who is Yae Miko?
In the game’s official introduction, Yae Miko is a descendant of the Kitsune lineage. She is Raiden Shogun’s servant and friend and is the intimidating editor-in-chief of the Yae Publishing House. It is believed that Yae is enveloped in her many identities and has been compared to a brilliant diamond surrounded by countless mirrors.
Yae has a mysterious demeanor but is known to be very kind. She has an enigmatic air around her. Her friends are used to it, but those acquainted with her are terrified of it. And she maintains an affable demeanor. She also shows a more cynical side to her. During their encounter in Raiden Ei’s Plane of Euthymia, Ei described her to have grown shrewd and resourceful.
What Are Yae Miko Skills?
In the beta version of the game, Yae has the following skills:
Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura – Elemental Skill
Yae moves swiftly and leaves a Sesshou Sakura behind. These have the following properties:
- It periodically strikes one nearby opponent with lighting and deals Electro Damage.
- When there are other Sesshou Sakura nearby, the level will increase and the damage dealt by the lightning strikes.
This skill has three charges, which means Sesshou Sakura can exist simultaneously.
Great Secret Art: Tenko Kenshin – Elemental Burst
Yae Miko summons a lightning strike which deals AoE electro Damage. When she uses this skill, Yae also unseals nearby Sesshou Sakura. This destroys their outer forms, transforming them into Tenko Thunderbolts that descend from the skies. Each deals AoE Electro Damage.
